Fixed Fee Contracts
Clients may request a a fixed fee for service contract, but history has
shown that such agreements rarely benefit the client financially.
Similarly, we tend to discourage maintenance contracts. Today's
computers are reliable and far less expensive than they were in the
past. Replacement parts are generally inexpensive and easy to replace.
Fee Payment Plans
If clients follow our advice and exercise care in their computer usage,
the need for ongoing maintenance should be almost non-existent. However
in keeping with our goal of providing first rate personal service we
will gladly comply with a clients wish for any form of fee payment plan.
Travel Time is Free!
No charge is made for travel time or expense anywhere in Kitsap
or Pierce counties. If a client requests an unusual trip outside the
coverage area, a modest mileage charge agreed in advance will be billed,
but there will still be no charge for travel time.
Free Email Support
No charges will be made for e-mails, or incidental telephone support,
unless the client has entered into a special telephone support
arrangement.
Hourly Rates:
- Our current hourly rate is $75.00 per billable hour,
irrespective of location.
- A billable hour is defined as time actually spent working on
specific client requested tasks, but which may, at the company's
sole discretion be reduced to reflect a more appropriate fee for the
value of the service provided.
- There is no minimum charge for services, which are calculated in
15 minute units.
- No premium is charged for work outside normal and customary
business hours.
Payment Arrangements
Payment arrangements can be negotiated on a case by case basis, but in
the absence of any agreement to the contrary, payment is expected upon
successful completion of services for individual tasks, or weekly, based
on invoiced costs for long term assignments.
Virus Removal Policy
There is one area of fee calculation that often raises confusion with
clients, and it involves data intrusion. We have removed viruses
successfully and charged clients accordingly, only to have a different
virus intrude into the system shortly thereafter. We do our best to
advise clients how to avoid such intrusions, but if our advice is not
followed and we are required to re-visit a client to remove a subsequent
virus, we will do our best to minimize additional fees, but do make a
point of billing for the second visit to compensate for our time and
also to make a client aware that there are consequences to be incurred
when standard safety steps are not implemented and followed.
